Wide-mouthed glasses such as a stein, shaker (mug) or pint glass, are designed for the easy-drinking enjoyment of common draught beers (lagers, ales and IPAs).
A slight taper to the top rim is good for IPAs as it condenses the hop aroma without making it too intense.
Matter of taste
But the most important thing is always to use a glass that we like.
