Cardeña Quadrupel comes from the San Pedro de Cardeña Monastery near Burgos, the only Trappist monastery in Spain where beer is brewed. It is a strong, dark quadrupel in the classic Belgian monastic tradition, reinterpreted in Spain – and a true rarity in Switzerland.
Taste
Deep amber to dark red. Fruity and warm on the nose, silky on the palate with notes of plum and caramelized pear, accompanied by the warmth of the alcohol and a sweet finish. Bottle-fermented using the traditional method.
