Ename Abbey, founded in the 10th century on the banks of the Scheldt, is one of Flanders' oldest monasteries. Today, Brouwerij Roman – one of Belgium's oldest family breweries – continues this legacy, brewing Ename Pater: a dark abbey beer with depth and character.
Deep mahogany brown in the glass, with a creamy, beige head. The nose opens with roasted malt, caramel, and a hint of prunes. On the palate, a full-bodied, warm texture unfolds: dark chocolate, dried fruit, subtle spice notes, and a long, dry finish. A Dubbel that embodies the soul of Flemish monastic brewing art.
