TRAPPIST ZUNDERT, DE KIEVIT TRAPPIST BREWERY
TRAPPIST ZUNDERT, DE KIEVIT TRAPPIST BREWERY
Deep in the Dutch Kempen region, behind the walls of the Maria Toevlucht Abbey in Zundert, Trappist monks brew one of the rarest beers in the world. Trappiste Zundert is the youngest member of the exclusive Trappist brewing family – and one of the most coveted.
In the glass, it presents itself in a brilliant amber-red with fine, creamy foam. The nose opens with ripe tropical fruits, caramel, and a hint of oak. On the palate, a full-bodied, harmonious body unfolds with notes of dried apricots, honey, and subtle spices – carried by a gentle, well-balanced bitterness. The finish is long, warm, and deep.
