Brewed with monastery water, dark malts, oats, and lactose, open-fermented with exclusive US yeasts and matured in single-malt whisky barrels in the old monastery cellar – until it reached its full aroma. Black-brown in the glass, with a creamy head. The nose opens with roasted malt, dried fruit, and whisky oak. On the palate: velvety-creamy structure, fine roasted notes, a slight sweetness from the lactose, and a long, warm finish. Like the English original, it impresses with the addition of lactose – an unfermentable sugar that gives the beer a fuller mouthfeel and creamy texture.
