Pus'ciavin in Bulgia IPA – Bernardo Lardi Edition
Pus'ciavin in Bulgia IPA – Bernardo Lardi Edition
Art Meets Craft Beer – From the Heart of Valposchiavo
Thanks to the Lardi family, this IPA features signed labels by Bernardo Lardi – a Valposchiavo native who dedicated his life to the community and his passion for fine art. His works are full of poetry, humor, and irony – a diary of his life and a unique cross-section of over half a century of local and national history.
A Beer Story with Depth
India Pale Ale is a testament to British colonialism in India – an era when even the people of Poschiavo left their homeland and ventured into new worlds. They traveled with the Bulgia, a leather bag containing only the essentials. Even today, Poschiavo natives outside the valley are affectionately called Pus'ciavin in Bulgia.
Flavor Profile
Five carefully selected hop varieties – including homegrown Cascade – give this IPA distinct herbal and fruity aromas. The bitterness is assertive but perfectly balanced by the sweetness of the malts. All in the spirit of English brewers who increased hops and alcohol to preserve the beer on long sea voyages.
